Red Coats - Woodland AbstractAbstract photograph of a two people dressed in red coats walking along a woodland path in the autumn. The image attempts to isolate the shape and form of the people, tree trunks and branches using ICM or Intentional Camera Movement. With the aperture open, a slight camera movement is used to change the look and texture of the scene, while retaining the natural shapes and identity. Honestly, this photo was a bit of an accident. I was photographing in a remote area of a forest by myself when I was startled to see two people walking toward me, both wearing the same color coat. The contrast of their red coats against the green and brown of the woodland results in an interesting abstract image.

Image is an original photograph which has been processed to add texture in order to enhance the look of the image on the canvas medium. I have a copy of this print in 24 x 36 over the fireplace in our family room. We get many compliments from first time visitors saying how much they love the image.
