Sunrise over Lake Huron near Oscoda, Michigan. Known as "The Sunrise Side" of Michigan, towns along Lake Huron on the eastern side of the state enjoy some amazing sunrises. I had family in a couple of different towns along the coast for a number of years, and so was able to enjoy many beautiful mornings, both summer and winter. The colors, reflections and clouds seem to change with each sunrise, so you never know what to expect. Though many people prefer the western side along Lake Michigan, I think the "Sunrise Side", though certainly different, is also a very beautiful area to visit.
